Vacation Day # 2 - Disney World Day 1! Magic Kingdom

Wow!  Getting here has been a long time coming!  I have read every blog and article on going to Disney World.  I am so glad I use my Disney World Planner, Becky!  She was so helpful!  And, I am thankful that Magic Kingdom was first on our stop!  There is something about Magic Kingdom that puts you under a spell for your trip!

First, we headed to our hotel, The Caribbean Beach!  Wow is all I can say!  I love this place!  We did have a hang-up with the computers, but we all know what working on computers is like, so we were delayed and didn't get to Magic Kingdom until between 9:00 & 9:30.  But, it was fine!  We got there just in time to see Tinkerbell & one of her fairies, Vidia!  For those of you who do not know, Baylee LOVES Tinkerbell!  This made her day!  It was a magical time!  (Her little world even had a giant string of pearls across the ceiling for my little pearl wearer, aka Ellee.)

Then it was time to run to the Space Mountain Fast Pass System.  Once we got our fast passes, we headed over to Tomorrowland Speedway!  It was already hot by this point and it was SO nice that this line had fans and umbrellas!  Both girls drove their parents around!  They loved it!!

Once we finished racing, Mommy had to take a spin in the Mad Hatter's Teacups with the girls because Daddy gets motion sickness.  After we spun, Mommy felt a little sick!

After we went for a spin, we went on The Barnstormer, Astro Orbiter (another mommy only ride), and then Space Mountain.  The girls did NOT like Space Mountain.  Ellee would have probably loved it, but she insisted on sitting in the very front.  That first drop turned her off of the ride.  I'll post our picture after I receive the PhotoPass CD (which is a must to order BEFORE the trip since it is much cheaper before you arrive at the park!  I also recommend that you DO order this CD.  We have taken lots of pictures, but you'll not see many family pictures.  One of us always has to take the pictures.  We have had SO many pictures taken by the PhotoPass Photographers.  Also, it's a charge to add the digital copy from the rides, but it's much better than carrying those around!!)

We ate in Tomorrowland, but I wasn't too impressed with the fast service meal.  But, it got the job done!  After lunch, we FastPassed Splash Mountain and rode the Pirates of the Caribbean.  The girls really liked this ride, which I was shocked!  Then we headed over to Splash Mountain.  We loved Splash Mountain!  We didn't get very wet, but we liked that!

We had to leave in the afternoon to make it to our dinner reservation.  On the way out, we saw Tigger and Pooh.  We got autographs and pictures!

We left and road the monorail!  The girls loved it!  We went to dinner at O'hana.  It was a Wonderful dinner! We had chicken wings, pork dumplings, noodles, veggies, Chicken, Pork, Steak, and Shrimp Skewers, and then the very best part - Bread Pudding with some scrumptious banana sauce!  They even had a coconut race for the kids!  What fun!

After our YUMMY dinner, we just had to walk off our dinner!  So, we went back to Magic Kingdom!  On the way to Magic Kingdom, it started storming.  Luckily we were on our bus and were able to get dressed for the weather!  We stayed under the bus stop awning and once the rain slowed down, we went to ride!  All of the rides were not up, but we were able to do lots of the inside rides!  Including, The Haunted Mansion, which the girls LOVED!  they didn't know what to expect, so since it was storming and dark, it was the perfect night to ride this ride!  It added a little more "scary" to the ride.  The fireworks were delayed, due to the storm, so we had to leave during them so that the girls could make it home.  The bus was so crowded to go home, the girls sat on the steps and fell asleep!  Their daddy and I had to hold them up without falling over!  It was funny!  It was a wonderful first day at Disney!  I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!!!
