Vacation Day #3 - Animal Kingdom (Disney Day 2)

The girls are pretty excited about Animal Kingdom today, however; they may be more excited about our pool at the hotel!  So, we promised them we'd go back and swim after Animal Kingdom!

We get to Animal Kingdom and decided to rent a stroller after we walked half way to the Safari Ride and the girls couldn't walk very fast.  (They were still warn out from yesterday!)  Why didn't we think of this yesterday???  We won't break any ones back carrying the heavy backpack and the girls can last longer!  Strollers are cheap enough to rent for the whole week!  So, we did!  This was a good way our girls could last through the whole day!!

Anyway, while Daddy rented the stroller, I ran with Baylee on my back to the Safari ride to fastpass!  I have the app that already told me the line to get on the ride was long.  So, we walked through the forest!  The girls loved this (and it was probably one of the only real shaded part in the park)!  They saw so many animals and birds through this walk.  By the time we walked through this ride, it was time to get on the Safari Ride!  This was amazing!  (Plus, this would be the perfect job for Jeremy!  He could spot all the animals way before the guide could!)  Here are some of the animals we saw:

We saw more, but all of my pictures were not great.  I didn't take the good camera that day.  The girls loved this ride!

Next, we went and got the girls hair wrapped. It took a little bit, but they got it done and it was so cute!

We headed over to lunch at the Pizzeria after the Hair Wraps were finished!  It was one of the best lunches we had the whole week!  YUMM!  I had an Italian sandwich!  It was awesome!

After lunch, we headed over to see Pocahontas, Chip & Dale, and King Louie & Baloo.  Chip & Dale had to go take a break while we were in line and while they were on break, some of the workers asked us if we were staying in the park. (Jeremy and I were looked at each other because we had said that we were leaving right after seeing the characters.  It was so hot and crowded, we were done!) But, we said we probably were and they asked us if we wanted to be in a parade!  The girls were so excited and we were given all the instructions...we had to meet someone at 3:00.  So we walked around and waited!  I mean, how many chances will we have to be in a parade?

We stopped at one of the Discovery Stations and the girls loved it!  They learned all about Apes!  This worker was awesome with the girls!

So it was time for the parade!  We had to get dressed up!

We rode in the tree in front of Minnie's Jeep!  The girls were in awe and these two parents were so grateful for the opportunity for the girls!  Check out the pictures from the parade!  Minnie rode right behind us!

Well, that was all that was exciting that day!  We headed to the hotel around five and had pizza!  The girls went swimming after we went back and had a blast!  Tomorrow is Hollywood Studios!  Can't wait!
